Location: Kew Gardens Tennis Club
Kew Gardens Tennis Club (KGTC) is a seasonal not-for-profit community club located in Toronto’s beautiful East End Beaches Community. KGTC has 10 lit, well-maintained courts.
(5 hard courts & 5 clay courts).
Job Description :
Working independently, you will check in members for play and manage court activity; answer member inquiries in person and over the phone; maintain the clay and sweep the hard courts; clubhouse and light grounds maintenance; open and close the premises; update the website daily re: court playability; enforce club rules.
In addition to a beautiful work environment, our staff receives a free or subsidized membership to play at Kew.

Requirements

Would maintain a clean and safe club environment and offer excellent customer service.

Have good PC, Excel, and Word skills.

Are an outgoing, enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and self-motivated team player.

Are flexible to working day, afternoon, or evening shifts.

Are certified CPR trained or willing to take a CPR/First Aid course.

Job Title: Certified Tennis Instructors (Multiple Positions Available)

Season: Spring/Summer 2025 (May–September) with potential Fall opportunities
Kew Gardens Tennis Club (KGTC) is seeking enthusiastic and experienced certified tennis instructors to join our coaching team for the Spring/Summer 2025 season, with the possibility of extended opportunities into the Fall. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about tennis, excel in a team environment, and can work independently to deliver high-quality coaching sessions.
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Head Tennis Professional, instructors will lead and manage small group lessons for juniors and contribute to various programs, including Saturday morning sessions, Spring After-School Programs, and weekly Summer Camps. Ideal candidates should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a flexible schedule, and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and professional coaching to small groups, primarily juniors.
- Support and implement programs as directed by the Head Tennis Professional.
- Ensure a safe, fun, and inclusive environment for all participants.
- Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and reliability at all times.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Certification: TPA Certified Instructor with a minimum of 1–2 years of experience (mandatory).
- Insurance: Current and up-to-date TPA certification with proof of insurance.
- Coaching Experience: Proven ability to coach juniors effectively.
- Background Check: Up-to-date Vulnerable Sector Police Background/Criminal Check.
- First Aid/CPR: Current certification required.
- Personal Attributes: Friendly, caring, outgoing, reliable, and punctual.
- Availability: Flexibility to coach on Saturday mornings, during Spring After-School Programs, and weekly Summer Camps.
Compensation:
Compensation will be determined based on KGTC’s remuneration value chart.
